Declare of interest

Candidates express their interest for the programme by sending via e-mail at precisionmed@auth.gr the following documents:

  • Application (Application template)
  • Copy of study titles and analytical scores of a Greek University and a certificate of equivalence from the D.O.A.T.A.P., in case of graduates from Universities abroad.
  • Curriculum vitae detailing the candidate's studies, teaching and/or professional experience and scientific activity.
  • Candidates must possess knowledge of a foreign language, such as English, German, or French, in addition to Greek, in order to participate in the selection process. This requirement is considered essential, especially if their mother tongue is not confirmed. The knowledge of a foreign language can be certified either through a degree from a corresponding foreign language University department or by possessing recognized diplomas of proficiency B2. There are several ways to prove the level of foreign language knowledge. Firstly, candidates can provide a State Certificate of law 2740/1999, as replaced by par. 19 of article 13 of law 3149/2003. Secondly, candidates can present a degree in Foreign Language and Philology or Degree in Foreign Languages Translation and Interpreting from the country or an equivalent degree from schools abroad. Thirdly, candidates can show a Bachelor's degree, undergraduate or postgraduate diploma, or doctorate from any recognized institution of higher education abroad. Lastly, candidates can submit a Baccalaureate title equivalent to Greek Secondary Education schools, if they have obtained it after regular studies of at least six (6) years abroad. It is important to note that the foreign language teaching proficiency license does not prove knowledge of a foreign language (P.D. 347/2003). Candidates who possess this license must provide a certified copy and an exact translation of the degree on which the foreign language teaching proficiency license was issued. If the candidate is foreign, they must also have certified knowledge of the Greek language at level B2 (good knowledge). If the candidate is a graduate of a Greek-language University Department, their degree is equivalent to a certificate of proficiency in the Greek language. Candidates must include a declaration of interest for one (1) of the fields of the P.M.S. that have been announced in their application. For those who have knowledge of Slavic languages, a certificate from the I.M.X.A. or a degree from a recognized institution is required.

  • Evidence of engaging in research and academic writing endeavors , involvement in educational initiatives that promote student mobility, as well as any relevant professional background pertaining to the field of study for the Program.

Interview

  • The oral interview takes place by a committee of three academic members.
  • The aim of the interview is to gauge the extent to which the individual interviews align with the overall training of the candidates and the image portrayed in the letters of recommendation. Additionally, it serves to assess other traits of the candidates. Moreover, it endeavors to construct an understanding pertaining to the unique requirements and idiosyncrasies of the candidates. Lastly, it plays a role in the evaluation of any other aspects related to the qualifications of the candidates as demonstrated by the supporting documents submitted.
